pre-menstrual stress

feeling completely crappy today. I am already crappy for the past few weeks, but today's crappier than the usual crappiness.

Wouldn't it be nice if I can don't go to work. I would love to spend time to learn cooking from my mum.. do up lesson plans for my girl.. go for walks and take beautiful pictures.. or even do housework. damn, even housework sounds more appealing than working in an office now. What's happening..!

Actually, till now, I really dunno why I am still complaining about my current job which is regular and stable. I guess it has to be PMS. Seriously, I HATE it can. Hate it whenever I feel this way and I have to go to work. I used to think this happens like a few days every month (due to PMS) but now it seems to be getting quite perpetual. Maybe my department now is quite unstable, hence the dread of having to manage more things/ people than usual.

okok i gotta stop thinking about hating my job. i mean, i am getting better at my job and i'm considered the senior in the department already. Good bonus, regular increment, cool benefits. My mum's doing a wonderful job with my girl and my home and i don't think i can replace her in terms of cooking and housework.. =.= and i am not sure of those house pets i.e. lizards / roaches. argh.

u know what, i should just take a full week of leave and REST at home. My next leave is the Friday after National Day, which is a month away. ARGH. Why SG so few public holidays one!

Chicken Rice at Chuen Chuen (Keypoint)

I went for my worship practice yesterday (practise for this Friday's prayer meet) and met my new vocalist team. They aren't unfamiliar faces, see them on stage all the time and sometimes off-stage around the church as well. We had fun last night, I enjoyed it a lot :) I mean, i was just praising God all night long, what's not enjoyable abt it?

Just that I think I ought to invest in a black vest for future duties, coz vests can somehow make casual outfits look..less casual? LOL.

and the sweet ending for last night was, hubby had a meeting till 930pm and he came to pick me up! The bus ride from church to home can be quite tiring especially when it's a late Monday night..

Argh it's 4pm in the office and i am getting hungry.. I had a red bean pancake for breakfast and a cheese pancake for lunch at 12pm... I SHOULD feel hungry now lor! But, nothing interesting to snack on lehh -_- Sigh, the chicken rice i had last night has left me very depressed, coz I randomly read a health blog today and i realised that chicken rice is a freaking 666 calories!! CRAZY!

But it was good.

It's like, i walked 3km to church and all I wanted was a good plate of comfort chicken rice. ARGH. Sian.


Kaoz, just looking at this picture can make me salivate non stop leh. The smooth, slippery chicken skin. The tender soft chicken flesh. The fragrant, satisfying rice...

I WANNA GO HOME AND EAT MY DINNER NOW!

Louis Vuitton

Saw someone carrying this bag and I really like the design! And so I did the most auntie thing : I took a couple of pics lol!

Maybe this will be my 2012 branded bag buy :-) 2006 was the LV champagne bag which I totally regretted buying. 2007 was the longchamp bag which I used to death, 2010 was the coach bag which was pretty well-used too but I realized that those huge Cs don't go well with floral/patterned clothes. 2011 was Kate spade black tote bag which is good for carrying many things. Currently the one I'm using to death now is actually the Jim Thompson bag which is a gift. The size is so compact and Material's damn hardy!

That said, I still haven got that huge craving to get a new bag la. Heh.

Xperia S

My phone is seriously getting on my nerves. Now I believe it's the phone thats causing the crappy reception. Last night, I was in class with Yanxi. Her Sony phone had full 3G Singtel reception and mine was NIL. Zzz!!

Its so irritating to use gadgets like these lor. My Current phone is a hand me down from hubby who is now holding a 4s. I'm seriously contemplating if I should get the new Xperia S. Not sure at all, actually, cos I'm so used to iPhone le.

Xperia S is selling at $705 at whymobile.com. Pretty cheap and it's way cheaper than iPhone. Just that I'll miss the iPhone apps lor haha. How how how.

Change phone? Or change provider? Or both?

Recap

Going to meet Claire for dinner tonight..haven met her for at least a year already! But facebook really makes up for it la haha. Haha, I've known Claire since 1999..that's 12 years already! Seriously, time flies. Time seems to fly faster when you get older.

Well I am kinda glad that I have friends whom I know for over ten years. Even though we are not BFFs (I do not really have a BFF per say), we are still buddies in a very quiet and stable sort of way. Now, who have I known over 10 years and are still in steady contact?

Primary School:
Sharon (25 years - since Pri 1)

JC:
Shiyun (16 years - since JC 1)

Church:
Jeremy (16 years - since JC 1)

Poly:
Claire (12 years - since Poly 1)

Ex-colleague:
Belle (12 years - since Year 2000)

It's just so interesting to think through and analyse your relationships. I wouldn't think that the number of years is a good gauge of how deep the friendship is. I mean, if you barely meet once a year, u can know someone for 50years and yet not know that person!

I am starting on a couple of new things soon. Firstly, I will be starting as a vocalist in Sunday service, which is something i wanted to do for the longest time. I love to praise and worship God, and hence i hope to lead others into enjoying this experience too! Secondly, I am starting my Korean language class next week! It's a slow course (I opted for once a week lessons) so there's more enjoyment than stress :) Of course I hope to be able to be properly/ officially proficient in Korean language in time to come..but yeah, IN TIME TO COME. no hurry. If I continue in the once a week course, I will complete Basic in one year. hahah thats really very slow. Maybe once I get more confident in the language, I can go for twice a week lessons. But having said that, I still gotta make sure that I can balance my schedule also :) The vocalist role is once every 3 weeks..and as usual, I have my usual food review session once every 2 months, and my LG every Friday..

Wednesday - Family time/ Food review (once every 2 months)
Thursday - Family Time
Friday - LG/ Vocalist Practice (once every 3 weeks)
Saturday - Family time
Sunday - Family time

I am quite certain that I wish to be home as much as I can to be with my girl, so Tues, Wed and Thur evenings plus weekends are strictly for her. So now, the schedule still looks okay. :)) Looking forward!

Good morning!

Had a lovely bus ride, mainly becos I was taking to God and committing my worries and concerns to Him. I have decided to hang in there in my current role, and continue to do whatever I can. After all, it's God who's doing the work, not me. I jus facilitate and assist. What's so stressful about that right?
-
Even though I am still upset with whatever that had happened, I guess time will pass and help to wash the bad stuff away. I'm willing to let God transform me, excited to see where He is leading me. I only have one life, and I do not want to waste time thinking about how people have wronged me or disappointed me. Haha, I seem to sound so pro hor. Easier said than done, really. I will still have frequent bouts of complaints on this blog, trust me!

Miss korea already

Ahahaha. Maybe because I had a sucky day at work, so I'm missing Korea like mad!

Been taking the 五味子 drink which I've bought from Korea, and I'm starting to feel the effects. Not so obvious yet, shall share more when it gets more apparent. Overall, it's not bad at all!

Another reason for me to go back Korea SOON heheh.

Just slapped an Odbo collagen mask on my face and I got time to kill. Ha. Sigh it has been quite an intense week for me.. Another intense day tomorrow before my buddy comes back on Friday from her 4-day mc.. O_o wisdom tooth extraction... Ouch. I hope this never happens to me.. Dot think I got any wisdom tooth. Lol.

And then, my buddy will extract her 2nd wisdom tooth this weekend, and another 4 days mc...... Aaaarrrgghh...I need your prayers everyone!!

Well, life is still good and I'm thankful for my lot. These two weeks I'll not be doing anything much besides work.. It will sap everything out of me. I jus hope to finish my trip pics- upload to Facebook and to blog. By end of these 2 weeks. I still got Feilouship's pics to upload and the next Feilouship session to organize!

Elegance

I have just finished watching Winter Sonata and I'm amazed at the elegant aura that oozes out from the female lead Choo Ji Woo. In particular, the way she walks - she walks in a straight line all the time! And it makes her so so feminine!

I walked to the train station from office today and I observed the ladies walking past me.... Seriously, NONE of them walks in a straight line can.

My new resolution: WALK IN A STRAIGHT LINE AT ALL TIMES.

And I also thought about my facial expression. I usually don't care much about how I look but I am beginning to realize that I can look really horrid if I just don't put in an effort! Like, I like to leave my mouth slightly open, like in a perpetually blur look or sometimes even surprised look. That isn't elegant at all. Look at the Wonder Girls below, they all are so well trained to look gorgeous!!

Tips on How to Keep Your Liver Healthy

Maintaining a good liver is a very crucial aspect needed to be taken care of in order to lead a healthy and disease free life. Many reasons lead to the causes of liver damage in people. These mainly include our poor eating habits and inefficiency in maintaining a good day-to-day routine.

Sleeping too late and waking up late in the morning is the main reason, followed by others like, not urinating in the morning, too much eating, skipping breakfast, consuming too much of medication and also the consumption of preservatives, additives, food coloring and artificial sweetener. Apart from this, consuming unhealthy cooking oil also causes liver damage. In fact, we should reduce the use of cooking oils for frying purposes as much as possible, even if they include the best cooking oils like olive oil. Consumption of fried food when your body is tired should be avoided and you should prefer to have them only when you are completely fit. Apart from fried food, overly done food also adds to the causes of liver damage. Veggies should be eaten raw or cooked 3-5 parts and fried veggies should be consumed in one sitting without having to store them to be consumed later.

We should try to prevent this without necessarily spending more. Adapting a good daily lifestyle and eating habits is all we need.

As we talk about good eating habits being necessary aspects for one to maintain a good liver, the time conditions that accompany these eating habits are also of primary importance. Our bodies need to absorb and get rid of necessary chemicals according to a schedule. Not doing it in a proper way and at appropriate times is equivalent to not doing it at all, because,

At evening, between 9-11 pm, is the time for eliminating unnecessary toxic chemicals i.e. detoxification from the antibody system i.e. the lymph nodes. This time duration should be spent by relaxing or listening to music. If during this time one is still in an unrelaxed state such as socializing, drinking, eating out etc., this will have a negative impact on the health.

After this, between 11pm – 1am is the detoxification period in the liver, and ideally should be done in a deep sleep state.

The early morning period i.e. between 1 – 3am is the detoxification in the gall bladder, also ideally done in a deep sleep state.

Morning 3 – 5am is the period for detoxification in the lungs, so spending this time walking or jogging in fresh air proves to be beneficial. There can sometimes be a severe cough for cough sufferers during this time since the detoxification process has reached the respiratory tract. There is no need to take any cough medicine so as not to interfere with the toxin removal process.

Morning 5 – 7am is the time for detoxification in the colon and the time to empty your bowel.

Morning 7 – 9am is the time for absorption of nutrients in the small intestine, so one should be having breakfast at this time. Breakfast should be earlier i.e. before 6:30am for those who are sick and before 7:30am for those who want to stay fit. Those who skip breakfast should change their habits, and it is still better to have it late until 9 – 10am rather than not having it at all.

Sleeping late and waking up too late disrupts the process of removing unnecessary chemicals.

Apart from that, midnight to 4am is the time when the bone marrow produces blood. Therefore one should have a good sleep and shouldn’t sleep late.

So all the youngsters who don’t really bother about the schedule they maintain, and are fond of waking up late at nights, watching movies, partying and doing crazy stuff, may not feel the need to alter their schedules at present. But as years pass by and the body system tends to grow old and weak, then will come the time when their bodies will begin to show the difference compared to those who maintained their schedules in a way they are meant to be.

So, the body really can tell time? Hard to believe leh. LOL.

Check this dress out.. Like something out of my paper craft class.. This kind of pattern looks nice on paper, but on a dress, it somehow doesn't feel very tasteful. What do u think?

Just saying...

i was there at USS when these 3 gorgeous ladies were performing. I wonder what experience/ qualifications got them up there on stage and perform.. If only I can do that haha. But i don't have the looks, so don't think i will even get pass the audition! ahaha.
