The New Harbour Cafe and Bar

I'm uploading from Blogger app on iPhone, so the pics are all dumped at the bottom without captions haha. But well, here's my two cents worth!

Reached there at about 630pm after a 20 min walk from my work place. It's located at 114 Tanjong Pagar Road, where all the bridal shops are. There are many Korean restaurants along that stretch too, much to my excitement! 2d1n Soju Bang, Man Bok, Korean Garden are all there!

It was already half filled when I got there, people drinking beers and chillin out after a blue Monday :-) Claire came shortly after and we ordered ginger ale and bourbon coke for drinks. My bourbon coke came in a weird tall glass instead of a rock glass, not fully filled either, looked rather dismal. But I didn't complain as the bourbon content was good Heehee.

I ordered their famous Hainanese Mah Mee while Claire ordered pork chops. We shared Hainanese roast pork as an appetizer. I couldn't remember the price for each item but total bill came up to be $56. Quite okay I thought. No service charge!

The pork chops were tender and juicy, so no complaints there. The Mah Mee was quite disappointing though. I read from some reviews that it was pretty good. Guess I set my expectations too high. It was tasty, but rather forgettable. The noodles were too soft for my liking too. Roast pork was crispy and good, but of course can't be compared to the one I had at Yan Ting just the previous weekend ahaha. Oops. But okay la, not bad at all. The chilli sauce was perhaps the outstanding one. Cos I like belachan :p

Don't mind going there again for drinks. Their happy hour is till 9pm!! Beers cost $7-$8 while house pours cost $7.80-$8.80!
