Ssikkek Korean Grill BBQ (Oriental Plaza)

After work at 6pm yesterday, Yanxi and I set off and walked about 2 bus stops to our dinner destination. We reached Ssikkek Korean Grill BBQ at about 625pm and was greeted by a pretty Korean lady and a half-filled restaurant. U know Oriental Plaza with the huge This Fashion at the ground floor? This Fashion moved out and Ssikkek Korean Grill BBQ now occupies half the area. We were so famished that I forgot to take a picture of the restaurant entrance >_< (and yes, we were so bloated after dinner that I forgot as well LOL).

You get to have either beef or pork marinated in 8 different ways (different parts also). I personally prefer the beef.

We took lots of kimchi, garlic and this bean paste sauce.

They also have this pork belly free flow. We took too much lol.

BACON! Yanxi's favourite. Aiyo but so fatty haha.

Spicy rice cakes!

Oh the only chicken was the chicken sausages.
From 7pm onwards, they open this station and serve kimbap and beef burritos!

My beeeeffff...

Oh this was the clean grill before we started. Wonder how much this cost..

Beef burrito. I love the wrap...so CARBO. haha.

It's spicy, sweet and appetizing.

More beef. The flat grill cooks so well.

There were prawns and sotong too. The sotong SO TENDER leh.

As usual, we got full and sick of the food. Strangely, I didnt feel this way when I was in Korea having this same thing EVERYDAY for 7 days. I conclude, it must be the MSG. Do you know Korean restaurants in Korea do not put MSG in their food?

AWW I miss Korea now.

Anyway, my thoughts on this restaurant. For $26 nett per person, it offers up a decent buffet with free flow drinks *thinks Seoul Garden where you have to pay another amount for free flow drinks* The coke I had was rather flat la, but still it quenches my thirst!

The service was prompt, plates were cleared like lightning and the staff were smiley and polite even when the restaurant was 80% filled. Huge TVs were up, showing KBS channels with those stick-thin Korea girl bands prancing and singing. Yah, made us even more guilty right! lol.

After our dinner, we took a train to the Korean school to sign up while stinking like BBQ. Hee. If nothing goes wrong, I shall start my class end of this month! :))
