i am sad. because my girl is sad.

Hubby and I went down at 730am this morning to look for the principal and teachers. Spent 45 minutes there with both English & Chinese teacher, and the principal. They were in luck that the exercise books arrived and were sitting in the principal's room. If not I would have insisted that one of them take a bus to the nearest book shop and get an exercise book there and then. Atrocious bochap attitude. Hope this morning call woke them up. They just gotta learn that they are handling young lives, they are shaping young lives. It's not just a job!

The Chinese teacher told us that yesterday after her classmates doodled on her paper and scolded her for being so slow, she went to the toilet to get some toilet paper to wipe her tears and runny nose. She stayed in the toilet for a long time until the teacher went in to find her. My heart broke when I tried to imagine the misery she was in. She wasn't slow at all, she was just trying to draw the squares on the blank paper before she could start writing! Of course her classmates would have finished their writing before her! She must have felt so misunderstood and angry. She is a new student at this kindergarten, the teachers should know very well that they need to integrate her into this new school!! Keep an extra eye on her for these initial period! Does PCF means that I should not expect too much? I am paying $130 per month, not very cheap you know?

We are not pampering our girl. We are ensuring that our girl doesn't end up dreading to learn.
