Happy Lunar New Year!

Although I am actually not extremely excited about it. Lol. I'm glad for the one week break, but I am not exactly looking forward to the visiting, binging and giving away of $$$. Perhaps we will plan for a getaway every CNY.

My side isnt exactly a very harmonious type. Too many uncles and aunties (meaning my grandparents gave birth too many times) resulted in many conflicts over the years. Uncle X doesnt talk to Auntie Y, Auntie A doesn't talk to Uncle B. Especially the past 3 years, CNY has kinda become quieter. Oh well.

Giving away of angbaos is another practice. Being married, my view of giving away angbaos is merely a tradition and to me, the amount doesn't need to be significantly huge or 'presentable'. However, some relatives have another school of thought, quite common actually. They will remember how much so-and-so gave the previous year, and they will give back the same this year. I think this is quite logical, but extremely troublesome. So I give a standard amount to EVERYONE, so I do not have to think too much. =.=

CNY Eve jus passed and it's officially CNY Day 1. At my MIL place now playing MJ. Hubby played the first round and I played the 2nd while he drove bb back to sleep. He came back again and playing 3rd round now. 2am now, and it's probably likely to end at 330am.

And the best thing is, I got my period earlier today. argh!
